"Coal Chemical Technology",one of the basic courses of coal-related majors,plays a vital role in students' learning of basic theories of coal-transformation. This paper offers a comparison between the domestic and international teaching methodologies,and analyzes the status quo and future development trend of "Coal Chemical Technology" teaching in China and attempts to find a more suitable teaching method for Chinese students so as to improve the quality of "Coal Chemical Technology" teaching and,meanwhile,bring up students' scientific thinking and innovation.
