Through interpreting the current Chinese and American standards in translation and comparing the translation project processes and quality standards,this article discovers that American translation standard emphasizes more sophisticated experience of the project manager's role in effective communication,making full use of various quality control tools and utilizing the independent third-party auditing mechanism in terms of translation quality control.This study aims to bring some inspirations for the translation quality control and promote the formulation of new Chinese standard to adapt to the request of a new era.
