| 以学术著作《城市外交》翻译实践为基础，结合实例分析专业术语译名确定的规范性、特定词语回译的准确性以及译者的批判性思维等问题，认为公共外交类学术文本的翻译既要努力保证相关专业术语表达的规范性，也要认真把握特定词语回译时用词的准确，这些方面都对译者的检索能力提出了较高的要求。此外，原文文本也难免瑕疵，译者应具有批判意识，正确对待原文中的瑕疵，努力提供忠实可靠的译文。探讨之，旨在为学术翻译实践提供参考，助力新形势下的翻译研究。 |

| On the basis of the English-Chinese translation of City Diplomacy, this paper reflects on appropriateness of term translation and accuracy of back translation, as well as the critical thinking process of translators in the hope of enriching the understanding of academic translation and translation studies in general. The authors hold that appropriate term translation and accurate back translation are not only vital to the success of a translation, but pose a serious challenge to the translator. In addition, the translator should be critical of the source text in the process of translation, and try his best to have a reliable translated version to avoid the probable errors in the source text. |
