Structure is the form of language and semantic exchange is the essence of speech. Structure is superficial while semantic exchange is profound. It is easy to make grammatical analysis while difficult to make a semantic analysis. A semantic analysis only limited to grammatical level will lead to misunderstanding. This paper makes a positive and beyond-structure semantic analysis of V+ing, and points out that a positive and beyond-structure semantic analysis of V+ing will help us understand and use V+ing better.
