From a macro perspective, this paper analyzes the quality of English majors’ thesises in the latest three years in Beijing Information Science and Technology University. It is found that the fall in this quality is correlated to the current curriculum design, and that to contain this trend, the structure of courses, both the basic and specialty and practical ones as well should be reformed. It is suggested that the thesis curriculum system be established so as to guarantee the continuity of writing exercises all through the four school years.
