The origin of USST(University of Shanghai for Science and Technology) Library is the bookroom of Shanghai Baptist College, which was former University of Shanghai. Based upon the University of Shanghai’s profound understandings of academic library, this paper discusses the outlay, collection, building, and management of library of University of Shanghai from 1907 to 1937, in order to provide reference for the today’s academic library.
