To develop comprehensive qualities of college students is the primary requirement and decisive factor of enhancing higher education standards. Ever?increasing attention has been paid to the nonprofessional music education in colleges and universities of science and engineering. On the basis of a questionnaire investigation, this paper analyzes the fey factors that influence the cultivation of collegiate music education. In addition, it discusses how to implement non?professional music education in terms of strengthening of theory, course, music performance, interest group and atmosphere.
