“Theory and Practice of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” has become a compulsory course for all graduate students. This course is a sequel to the undergraduate course “A General Introduction to Mao Zedong Thoughts and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics,” which is of the same category but of a different level. The teacher of this course should, in terms of teaching content and teaching methodology, show different levels of teaching, dwelling on specific tops and enhancing theoretical instruction, coupled with humane care, combination of theory and practice, and unity of history and logic. The teacher should attach importance to higher levels of theoretical knowledge, giving students a sense of going beyond a mere introduction, and enhance the practicality and effectiveness of the “research?oriented” course so as to achieve its objective.
