In collaborative translation models, different translators possess different subjectivities. The paper analyses how collaborative translators negotiate with each other before, during and after translation work so as to achieve the ultimate goal of “integration” .In the case of the collaborative translation model of an English novel entitled A Winter in the Sunshine, these two collaborative translators are of the equal importance.Attention is focused on relationship between integrative translators’ subjectivity and publishing market of the translated novel, the novel’s literary value as well as translation strategies. The paper further proposes that it is feasible to mainly adopt “foreignization” translation strategy together with “domestication” when it comes to translating works of foreign literature and recommend this collaborative translation model of high efficiency and quality be applied to translating foreign literature into Chinese.
