There are often difficulties called "pitfall" or "maze" in the test papers of foreign languages due to the inherent characteristics of language and its testing methods.The foreign language textbooks and their supplementary materials should be strict,reliable and suitable in order to help students overcome these difficulties—otherwise the "stumbling blocks" that result from their own flaws and fallacies will bring about extremely harmful barriers to students.The politically sensitive issues must be avoided whereas the dependability of language level and working out the test papers should be ensured during the editorial control for these two kinds of books.
