Based on practice,this paper highlights the usage of animal-specific words and phrases from the multiple perspectives of vividness,imagery,succinctness,profundity,wits and wisdom,etc.Meanwhile copious references are cited as a compelling proof to the aesthetic value of animal-specific wording,complemented by comparisons between Chinese and English versions.If aptly applied,animal-specific wording spices up a description considerably.
