Abstract:In this paper, the author compares the data in physical reports of 83 124 sample students from 8 universities in Shanghai in 2010 with the data report of general college students' physical health in China.Analyzing the statistics of reports on physical health in the last decade (2000-2010),the author concludes that changes in college students' physical health are manifested in three aspects.First, the general trend of the change is downwards:a sharp drop in 2000-2005 and a slow decline in 2005-2010;second,endurance quality still drops most drastically;third,an obvious change is still found in the physical quality of college students during the four-year college life. Moreover, the analytical statistics support the Chinese national physical monitoring system. Therefore,it is proposed to enhance college students' physical quality by intervention and predict its developing trend, and to emphasize the impact of physical fitness test on college students in order to further study the physical characteristics and patterns of college students' in Shanghai.
