As to the exact time of the first establishment of Department of Sociology in China,different opinions occurred in the history of sociology,social work,higher education,and other fields.Through checking reliable sources,we assert that the first department of sociology in China was established in University of Shanghai by Daniel Kulp Ⅱ in 1914 February.
