The domestic study on technological essence since the time of reform and opening up can be divided into three stages initial period,accumulation period and prosperous period.It is agreed that the domestic research on the issue of technological essence has not reached mature period yet,which mainly consists in its unsystematic and inaccurate elucidation.It is necessary to strengthen the study especially lead the studies of delimitation of technology and science,the programme of technology philosophy and other issues to a deeper extent and to promote the study of the discipline of technology philosophy to the mature period.
