This paper,based on the first author's work experience in USA,systematically analyzes the merits of graduate course teaching system of Northwestern University,one of USA Top Universities.The analysis is unfolded in three aspects:schemes of course establishment,form and content of classroom teaching,and faculty-student interaction patterns.Given successful USA experience,this study analyzes the authors' teaching reform program "full English graduate course consolidation " and discusses future directions.
