Based on the classroom observation at English and Drama department of Loughborough University in UK,this research aims to explore the positive co-relationship between self-efficacy and learner autonomy,and the ways to enhance self-efficacy while improving learner autonomy,namely success experience,peers guidance,language persuasion and emotion awakening.It hopes to expand the present understanding of language learners in the context of Chinese culture,helping teachers realize the importance of learner autonomy and intentionally improve their teaching methods which should take the affective factor into account in cultivating learner autonomy and the enhancing students' English language.Furthermore it is expected to offer an insight into the construction of individualized instruction and autonomous learning model for college English.
