English for Economics and Finance is one of the subdivisions of ESP(English for Special Purposes), aiming to cultivate learner's comprehensive capabilities in response to the demand of economic and cultural globalization.Investigations and researches show that this course in many universities lacks a unified standard and no model is assumed successful, so problems occur in respect to course orientation, teaching aims, teaching mode, teaching approaches and assessment.In order to ensure the teaching quality and to further this course to be more standardized, scientific and systematic, a modular instruction reform can be tried so as to tackle the problems.More importantly, it will help college education to meet the needs in the fast changing world.
