Parody, a common rhetoric device of simulation, has rich cultural heritage, and it is very popular in spoken language.Hong Lou Men, the master piece of Chinese ancient traditional culture, is the typical work in Classical Chinese Novels and it is famous for its elegant words and pregnant meanings.There have been countless studies on the language in Hong Lou Meng, and special attention has been paid to the study of parody over the years.However, there were few studies on parody translation from the perspective of cultural translation.Based on the comparative analysis of concrete parody examples from English version The Story of the Stone by David Hawkes and Yang, this paper explores parody translation methods and strategies from the perspective of cultural translation to reveal the cultural connotations in parody translation.
