By analyzing the emerging issues in graduate English teaching,the paper explores the teaching reform of graduate English in terms of curriculum,content and teachers' role to meet the challenge of social growth,disciplinary advancement and the increasingly various needs of students.It is suggested that graduate English should center on academic English in order to enhance students' ability in academic research and cross-cultural communication.
