Social rhetoric is the mainstream of contemporary western rhetoric and its fundamental proposition is that rhetoric engages in social construction.People communicate,participate in social practice and cooperation through rhetorical discourse activities.Bakhtin's dialogical theory,focusing on dialogicity,context and ideology of discourse,embodies social rhetorical thoughts and nurtures western traditional rhetoric and improves research paradigm of social rhetoric epistemologically and ontologically.In terms of discourse construction and interpretation,this paper explores the social rhetoric view in an attempt to clarify the theoretical essence and implications of social rhetoric.
