Abstract:Corpus investigations into the translator's style have begun with Mona Baker's research on the translator's style by corpus methodology in 2000. This paper provides an overview of the previous corpus-based studies on the translator's style conducted by scholars 2000 to 2014, discusses major limitations in the previous studies, and look forward to further research. It is suggested that an integrated approach of interlingual and intralingual comparison be plausible for future research on the translator's style with specific purposes, and that attention be paid to an individual translator or translator groups dedicated to Chinese contemporary literary translation.
