The success of Sino-foreign cooperative education lies in the teaching quality of EAP (English for Academic Purposes) courses.A systematic study on the EAP courses,therefore,becomes a necessary requirement for the globalization of higher education and a national strategy of constructing world-class universities and colleges.The design and evaluation of EAP courses have been explored in the context of Sino-foreign cooperative degree program between Taiyuan University of Science and Technology in China and Auburn University in the United States in order to foster interdisciplinary seniorengineering talents with international competitiveness and overseas education background and provide a guidance and sample in this respect to other universities offering similar programs in our country.
