GIS has been widely applied in many areas since it can display geographical information by analyzing and remote controling the measured data.This paper presents structural stratification and main functions of the building management system,discusses the tendency of GIS in the area of building management.In addition,students'and teachers'dorms are also taken into consideration.This paper proposes a basic theoretical management model for the building management and construction of colleges and universities.Meanwhile,the direct management mode and simplified inquiry mode will inevitably increase the working efficiency and decrease the workload.Therefore,this research will provide a positive reference for the application of GIS management system.
