Abstract:The syntactic construction of verb+complement and the expression of action by means of verbal phrases in Chinese. When translating these two syntactic forms into Japanese, adopt translators prefer nouns or nominal phrases including a verb ingredient. This paper will analyze such expressions and their translation in Japanese. It is discovered that sometimes it is more natural not to translate the Chinese verbs and verbal phrases directly into Japanese verbs or verbal phrases. Because the process and result a certain action are usually and typically expressed in the grammatical structure of result complement and direction complement in Chinese to make the action explicit while it tends not to express the action directly in Japanese. The analysis will provide guidance to practical translation from Chinese into Japanese.
