Abstract:Course evaluation by students has become a necessary method of teaching quality evaluation and an important means of teacher management. On the other hand, its reliability and validity has been a controversial issue for guite a long time.In this work, the situation of course evaluation by students was surveyed and studied from the perspective of students. The results indicate that most of the students have recognized the teaching methods and performance of the teachers being the core of their course evaluation. However, other factors, such as course attributes, personality of teachers, feeling of students to teacher and the benefit consideration of students also influence the course evaluation. In addition, the managerialism property in the course evaluation process results in a decline of students' participating willingness and carelessness to the evaluation, which leads to the failure of the course evaluation.Based on this empirical analysis,it is suggested that based on the concept of development a multi-party participation consultation mechanism to increase the effectiveness should be constructed during the course evaluation by students.
