Gagne's Nine-step Teaching Approach has been widely applied to the teaching process of higher education in China.However,the schedule and specific method for each step should vary with different courses.In order to maximize the effect of Gagne's Nine-step Teaching Approach,an evaluation method-Orthogonal Design for Gagne's Nine-step Teaching Approach is introduced in this study.This method has been successful in some courses for undergraduates, especially effective in the two courses:Principles of Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineering and Physical Properties of Foods.
