Constructionism advocates creating effective learning environments to ensure sufficient amounts of language input and output in foreign language teaching.Multimedia and network technology provide favorable conditions for improving the foreign language learning environments.This paper,with students of English major as subjects,explores and designs the English culture teaching model in the multimedia & network environment,and makes an empirical study of the effectiveness of the teaching model.Statistical analysis of the experimental data reveals that the English culture teaching model in the multimedia & network environment is significantly more effective than that of the traditional teaching model,and,accordingly,the researchers put forward some suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of English culture teaching.
