"Data Structure" is an important foundational course for undergraduate students who major in information management.The paper analyzes the factors that result in negative effects on the teaching quality of "data structure",including lack of mathematical knowledge,poor linking between the course of "data structure" and "programming design",and the fewer practical opportunities.Through two-year teaching reform,the strategies have improved the teaching quality of "data structure" the student motivation is simulated and the teaching effectiveness is also improved.New teaching methods prove to be effective,such as strengthening the review of "C programming language",enhancing the attractiveness of classroom teaching,presenting the algorithms with photo-illustrated instruction,reinforcing practical teaching and carrying out heuristic teaching.
