Abstract:The influence of network technology on education is becoming more and more extensive. The blended teaching mode combining network teaching with traditional teaching has gradually replaced the routine traditional teaching mode. The flipped classroom,as one of the most important blended teaching modes, has been widely used in higher education. There are yet some problems in the application of flipped classroom. How to apply it better to specific courses is really worth studying and discussing. In order to study the flipped classroom in medical basic courses of Biomedical Engineering specialty,we attempted a parallel-class comparison method, and 72 students were selected from Biomedical Engineering Specialty in Grade 2015 in University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. To explore the plausible teaching method of flipped classroom for biomedical engineering specialty,we compared the flipped classroom with traditional teaching effect. The results showed that the flipped classroom could significantly improve students' initiative learning and final performance.
