This paper expounds the connotation of practical teaching model and the importance of MBA practical teaching with a comparative study of MBA teaching modes in Chinese universities and American Columbia Business School in terms of the basic situation of MBA teaching,teaching philosophy,curriculum provision,faculty and resource supports.Aiming at sovling the problems in Chinese universities MBA teaching,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to construct the practical teaching model of Chinese college MBA in the new era,such as strengthening practicality in teaching,relying on characteristic disciplines of USST for curriculum provision that combines general and professional knowledge,allocating resources for the convenience of students acquisition,introducing marketing professionals into the faculty staff.
