Abstract:Walden is a masterpiece of Henry David Thoreau and it has become a classic in the American literature.Xu Chi is the first Chinese translator who translated Walden into Chinese Waerdeng Hu.Afterwards,new translators and translation emerge,new publications also take their presence.In the 21st century,the re-translation of Walden becomes exceedingly prevalent,which has attracted academia and translation circles’ attention.This treatise,based on the theory of aesthetic translation,approaches aesthetic elements in Walden and intends to add contributions to its research with dynamic and permanent aesthetic meanings,and the essence of research will attract more scholars’ attention.
