In the course teaching of “Situation and Policy” the author conducts a questionnaire survey among 170 students and interviews 85 students from Shanghai Customs College.It’s discovered that during the process of studying the Report of the 19^th CPC National Congress,the students encounter the following doubts and confusions:they recognize the importance of the report,but doubt its necessariness;there are a lot of points in the report,but the students wonder “which are the focuses should be learned”;the spirit of the 19^th CPC National Congress should be included in the “Situation and Policy” course,but the students cannot distinguish its differences from other ideological and political courses.Therefore,in order to publicize and implement the spirit of the 19^th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in the “Situation and Policy” course,the teacher should address the questions listed in a practical manner,highlight the features and shoulder teaching responsibilities.
