This paper presents the best practices and research achievements of VR/AR integrated in foreign language teaching by systematically sorting out the cases both home and abroad.To facilitate our understanding of English language teaching innovation,the paper analyzes the logic for integrating of VR/AR into language education based on Monitor Theory.By presenting the new requirements to the TEFL model proposed by Emerging Engineering Educationand with the aim to cultivate the application-oriented engineering talent,the paper explores the possibilities of how TEFL become more interactive & inter-disciplinary in Science & Engineering Universities and discusses in particular the feasibilities of the specific teaching strategies designed for a new TEFL model.Hopefully,the research will be helpful for future college English teaching.
