Based on the study of “V-po” in the Chinese-English parallel Corpus of Journey to the West and its translation,this paper employs the software Antconc and studies the translation of the VR construction structure from the point of view of state change events,and it finds that:1) From the perspective of causation,state change events are divided into three types:causative state change events,non-causative state change events and self-changing state change events.2) In the corpus,the causative category of V-po is divided into causative category,non-causative category and self-changing category,among which the causative type is of the highest frequency.3) There are explicit,implicit and integrate method in the English and Chinese VR constructions,among which causative category and non-causative category mainly depends on explicit and implicit translation method,whereas self-changing category is mainly translated by the implicit method.The study provides a new cognitive perspective for the translation of V-po in Chinese VR construction,and it provides a certain cognitive motivation for Chinese construction comprehension.
