Yu Heqin was a new-typed scholar of science in the early period of the Republic of China and he transformed from an old Chinese scholar of late Qing Dynasty.and He wrote a lot of poems and essays in his life including original works and literary reviews.Based upon introducing “The diction in the service spirit” and the style of poems and essays by Yu Heqin,this paper analyses his poems and essays in terms of content and culture to enlighten the young scholars.
