The outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia，a disastrous global public health event,has exerted great influence on youth.So,it is of great value for ideological and political education to give duly guidance to young people in order to respond to their ideological concerns.There are five basic focuses to which ideological and political education can turn against the negative effects of the public health events:to advocate sound view of disaster in order to develop their sense of crisis and their spirit of responsibility;to promote scientific response to the epidemic so as to improve their ability of critical thinking and self-protection;to strengthen the Matters of Confidence and to enhance the Four Consciousness by sharing China's experiences in fighting the coronavirus;to reflect the relationship between human and nature for the sake of guaranteeing the awareness of conservation and eco-civilization;to focus on the global fights against the coronavirus in order to build the sense of community with a shared future for mankind.
