Since China's reform and opening up for more than forty years,Shanghai has experienced alteration of "Shanghai Spirit" from "Shanghai Urban Character" based on its practices in politics,economy and diplomacy.In the temporal dimension,the "Shanghai spirit" stems from Shanghai's historical development and evolution,it is contained in the urban character and embodied in various connotations such as the harmonic coexistence of the multivariable culture,cooperation and innovation in economy,and openness and inclusiveness in diplomacy.In the spatial dimension,the "Shanghai spirit" grows from the geographical location of Shanghai and glows with Chinese cultural properties in participating in China's reform and opening up as well as in the regional governess.In the New Era of the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics,the connotations of "Shanghai spirit" extends to the outlooks of development,safety,cooperation,civilization and global governess,and it will continue to guide the practice and spirit in the urban development of Shanghai,the reform and opening up of China and the regional cooperation of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the future.
