The important concept of "city of people" put forward by Xi Jinping is not only an important thesis of China's Socialist City Construction in the new era,but also a new perspective of theoretical research in ideological and political education.It is plausible to integrate the important concept into ideological and political education because it conforms to the framework of ideological and political education in three aspects:activity domain,political implication and process coordination.On the one hand,the concept of "city of people" promotes the frontiers and intuitiveness of the research in ideological and political education; on the other hand,it provides space intention and practical embodiment for the research.On the whole,innovation on the vision of ideological and political education is embodied in the following:strengthening at the empirical level the people's subjectivity orientation in ideological and political education,optimizing its ring and carrier,and improving its systematic thinking.In the future,it will the broaden the horizon of ideological and political education theory,which will provide ideological orientation and value guidance for constructing the city of people with Chinese characteristics.
