The policy that public schools and private schools recruit students at the same time,and that students draw lots to enter private schools will have adverse effects on Yangpu District's compulsory education system.This article analyzes the educational advantages of Yangpu District and the development trend of education after the new policy in other districts of Shanghai City.It is believed that Yangpu District should further study the effects of new policies,make short-,medium-and long-term education plans,,and meet expectation and demands of the public for high-quality educationl resources so that Yangpu District could upgrade its economy.
