Abstract:Taking 13 university archives in Shanghai as samples, this paper makes a questionnaire survey on work-study programs, and analyses the basic situation from the management perspective, such as post setting, training, work pay, evaluation, motivation, institutional construction. The results show:first, the number of work-study students is disequilibrium among universities, among which the first-class universities are better. Second, the range of jobs in work-study program is rather wide with potential security risks hidden in inadequate measures and unclear security classification. Third, most university archives emphasize students’ professional training while neglect their moral education. Fourth, work pays are generally low owing to the limits of work-study management funds. Fifth, most university archives lack of evaluation and incentive measures in their inadequate management system. Sixth, the work efficiency is unsatisfactory. Thus, the author put forward strategies and suggestions to solve the existing problems based on some actual cases.
