Abstract:Construction of learning style not only has a great impact on the quality of a university’s talent cultivation, but also reflects its comprehensive competitiveness, directly related to the university’s functions of scientific research and cultural inheritance. Based on the survey on learning style of 5565 undergraduates within a university in Shanghai, this paper will focus on the status quo of students’ learning goals, learning attitude, learning method and learning motivation and illustrate the main factors of academic atmosphere constructing. According to the research, there are mainly factors in two aspects. On the one hand, students’ cognition is the subjective factor crucial to learning style; on the other hand, such objective factors as schools, teachers, families and environment can influence the academic atmosphere. Therefore, it is urgent to take measures to solve the problems in the learning style. Guiding students in accordance with their aptitude, helping them to find out their problems in learning, shaping a general plan for them, stimulating their learning motivation will contribute to their learning goal. Meanwhile, mobilizing enthusiasm of teachers and families, building an excellent learning atmosphere will improve the conditions and environment for learning in universities.
