Abstract:The sense of learning self-efficacy is an important theory to study the learning motivation of college students. It not only stimulates the students’ learning belief, exercises their learning ability and forms a good learning attitude, but also directly affects the students’ study situation, the construction of school style of study and the quality of personnel training in colleges and universities. Based on the investigation of 750 students in 8 universities in Shanghai, this paper discusses the status quo of their studies, their cognition of learning motivation and the role of teachers in stimulating students’ learning motivation. It is found that, the internal factors, namely students’ cognition, the external factors, namely teachers’ behavior and the environmental factors, namely the classroom teaching environment, have a direct impact on the determination of college students’ learning goals, the formation of their learning attitudes, the cultivation of their learning behaviors and the learning effects. Therefore, we should pay attention to the self-cognition of college students, the ability of teachers to educate students and the teaching environment in school , thus stimulating their learning motivation.
