Faced with the challenges brought by transformation of social structure, ideological and political education should not only embed in the social structure, adhere to problem-orientation, actively meet challenges, but also strengthen the leading position of mainstream ideology by criticizing and analyzing social thoughts, strengthen the value identification by carrying forward the collective consciousness derived from the socialist core values, bridging about division of social interest groups by promoting to form value consensus. In addition, deepening into the daily activities in the commercialized society, focusing on the existence of human beings, “recovering” the moral significance for people to recognize the essence of oneself. Therefore, the missions of ideological and political education is to strengthen the leading role of mainstream values, to promote organic integration of society, and to achieve moral enlightenment, demonstrating the intrinsic nature of people-oriented values and society-serving actions.
