Building a better life is a concrete manifestation of the CPC’s fulfillment of its original intention and mission. Based on the needs of “real people”, Marxism adheres to the “human-centered” logic, outlining a beautiful vision of human life — the unity of material and spiritual aspects, freedom in labor and activity, comprehensive and free personal development. At the same time, China’s excellent traditional culture that has been passed down for thousands of years, and contains wealthy ideas about a better life for people. It is essential for modern Chinese people to follow the course of nature, unify righteousness and interests, and achieve harmony among all nations with a better life. Therefore, a better life for the people in the new era requires not only the theoretical source of Marxist ideas on a better life for people, but also the historical foundation of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Moreover, it should be rooted in reality and comprehensive promotion through coordinated practical measures in five aspects: economy, politics, spirit, people’s livelihood and ecology.
