The research presents integration of sports and education, and synthesizes related documents issued by the Central General Office and Office of the State Council. Exploring the practice of integration of sports and education in University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, it analyzes its concept, status quo and development trend in the training of sports compound talents. It is suggested that integration of sports and education should include three educational content: knowledge, skill and culture, and pay more attention to the physical education and moral education. Because cultivation of compound talent needs integration of sports and education, government, universities and society should play their role to full advantages in order to promote the reform of physical education.
