Abstract:Eco-translatology, as a holistic methodology, can provide a research perspective for Chinese classics translation based on synthesized “syntactic structure-semantic presentation-pragmatic construction”. This paper takes the translations of Sanzijing as an example and attempts to account for the difficulties confronting the “semantic interpretation” of Chinese classics translation, to analyze the eco-structures of Classics translation from the perspective of Eco-translatology, and to demonstrate the essence of simplicity of classics translation: translating classics in the same simple form as the original calssics; translating poetry into poetry as aesthetic as it is.
