Abstract:The development of event-group moral education in universities’ PE curriculum is based on the theoretical foundation of integrating moral education into physical education, and aims to meet the realistic demand of generic moral education in the curriculum. To analyze their moral education elements and figure out strategies is crucial to implementing event-group moral education in the sports courses. As a matter of fact, event-group courses of antagonistic games display distinctive moral elements. To be specific, “dominance of skills and tactics” helps establish the belief in painstakingly practicing skills; “antagonistic play on the same field” stimulates the courage to face challenges; “abiding by rules” cultivates the awareness of abiding by laws and disciplines; “overall coordination” clarifies the relationship between individuals and the team. Accordingly, moral education in sports courses will be implemented through the teaching process, sports competition, rule learning and team development.
