Abstract:The entry of socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era signifies that China’s social development has reached a new historical stage. At this new starting point, Sino-foreign cooperative education has been endowed with a new historical mission. The teaching faculty of Sino-foreign cooperative education constitutes a crucial human resource for fulfilling this mission, and teachers engaged in higher education-based Sino-foreign cooperative education face numerous new challenges, including “cultivating emerging talents”, “advancing high-quality education", and “telling Chinese stories well”. However, research indicates that the current teaching faculty in Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions across Chinese universities is scarcely equipped to address these new challenges. The Sino-German College at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology has seized new opportunities to meet such challenges and has explored an innovative path for constructing the teaching faculty in Sino-foreign cooperative education through its educational practice. This practice holds significant practical value for helping teachers in higher education's Sino-foreign cooperative education adapt to the challenges of the new era and new paradigms.
