Abstract:Beginning with the Translation Movement, the Second Scale of “East to West” originated from the four great inventions of ancient China and covers over a thousand years of literary and cultural exchanges between the East and the West since the 8th century. It also highlights the function of Chinese language as an important carrier for mutual learning among civilizations, as well as Chinese literature and criticism. Marxist views of language and the historical logic for language are of great significance for people to better understand Chinese with its meaning, symbolism and omnipotent super Rubik’s Cube effect. Chinese language, literature, and the spirit of Chinese culture are the strongest stabilizers and bond forces to strengthen Chinese culture, ensuring the stable continuity of Chinese civilization for five thousand years. Therefore, just like inheritance of civilization, language and literature are the key to mutual learning of civilizations, achieving the goal of universal harmony.
